State of the Art "image-based" optical face- and bodytracking system used in the production of avatar. We are able to re-engineer this system, but it is still an expensive solution for realtime. Cameron used a realtime camera to be able to see all the shots in the cgi environment. In former productions directors were not able to see the collage of computer generated environments and computer generated bodies/objects.
